Bio
Adam K. Moussa is a marketing professional who currently serves as digital marketing manager for MasterCraft Boat Company. In that role, he is responsible for producing MasterCraft’s digital, email and social media content.
The Powell, Tenn., native joined MC after managing social media for a multitude of ESPN brands including @XGames, @SportsCenter, @ESPNNFL, @ESPNMondayNight, @ESPNCFB, @CollegeGameDay, @ESPNU, @RecruitingESPN, @ESPN3 and @ESPNMag.
Prior to joining ESPN, Moussa earned a master’s of science degree in communications from the University of Tennessee. During his time on Rocky Top, Moussa served as a feature writer for Tennessee Insider and Tennessee Playbook magazines, in addition to contributing to UTSports.com.
While pursuing his journalism degree at UT, Moussa also served as a sideline reporter, analyst, host, and fill-in color commentator for AM 620 WRJZ’s coverage of Tennessee high school football.
Before enrolling as a graduate student on “The Hill” at Tennessee, Moussa earned a bachelor’s of science degree in education from the University of Memphis in May of 2012. A magna cum laude member of the U of M’s “Centennial Senior” class, Moussa earned College of Education Dean’s List recognition in each of his eight semesters.
Throughout his time at Memphis, Moussa was a three-time Sports and Leisure Studies Outstanding Scholar, a two-time Bailey W. Prichard Sport Studies Scholarship recipient, and one of two national beneficiaries of CoSIDA’s 2011-12 Fred Nuesch-Dave Wohlhueter Undergraduate Scholarships.
In addition to his studies at the U of M, Moussa served as a contributing writer to Tiger GameDay magazine, GoTigersGo.com and ConferenceUSA.com.
In June of 2012, the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) tabbed Moussa’s “On The Right Track” Tiger GameDay feature story the organization’s District 4 Athlete Profile of the Year. The Sept. 2011 feature story, which profiled U of M defensive back Lavaris Edwards, became Memphis’ first Fred S. Stabley Writing Contest winner.
Moussa also served as a student assistant sports information director in Memphis’ Athletic Media Relations department. In this capacity, he was responsible for daily publicity and promotion of the Tigers’ women’s golf and rifle teams, served as the secondary contact for baseball, and worked extensively with football and men’s basketball.
During his time in the “Bluff City,” Moussa gained valuable extracurricular experience by assisting in media relations at the 2010 and 2011 FedEx St. Jude Classic PGA Tour golf tournaments, 2011 and 2012 AutoZone Liberty Bowl games, and a multitude of Conference USA championships.
Moussa also possesses a vast amount of experience in organizing, programming and officiating athletic events. Throughout the entirety of his four years at the U of M, Moussa served as the lone intramural coordinator of officials and training coordinator for Memphis’ Campus Recreation and Intramural Services department.
Moussa proudly hails from the Powell community of Knox County, Tenn., where he was a two-year letter-winning safety on the Powell High School football team. Under the tutelage of head coach Matt Lowe, Moussa helped lead the Panthers to back-to-back Region 3-4A playoff appearances in 2006 and 2007.
As an honors student at PHS, Moussa earned DECA city, state and regional marketing competition championships, garnered Knoxville News-Sentinel CAREacter Football Player of the Week honors on two separate occasions, and graduated from Knox County School System’s Technology Academy of Excellence in the summer of 2007.
Moussa is a dues-paying member of Golden Key International Honour Society, The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, CoSIDA (College Sports Information Directors of America) and NIRSA (National Intramural Recreational Sports Association).
